Community Connections
Integration Opportunities for Youth and Families
Winnipeg Newcomer Sport Academy provides opportunities for newcomer youth and their families to participate in sport and also use sport to integrate into their new community. Through various events, we coordinate with other organizations to “play with the Canadian kids”, to “invite the Canadian kids” to play with us or to attend sport events in the community.
1) Ball Retrievers at MSA Provincial Soccer Championships
2) Ball Retrievers at the 2017 Canada Games
3) Host a community event December 2019 (supported by small grant from Spence Neighborhood
4) Attended Goldeyes Game (Summer 2019) supported by Jays Care.
5) Annual event at Tuxedo Tennis Club.
